Overview
Jordan played his high school football for Mallard Creek High School in North Carolina, helping them to a state championship appearance. He also played basketball in his time at high school. In 2018, as a freshman he played in 11 games, starting 4 of those. He finished that season with 25 tackles and earned All-Sec and All-America freshmen honors. In 2019, Jordan started 8 games, finishing with 18 tackles and .5 sack(s). In 2020 Davis’ season was interrupted by an ankle injury that caused him to miss 3 games. Nonetheless, he started in 7 games finishing the season with 16 tackles and was recognized as Second-Team All-America by some publications. In 2021, Jordan played in all 15 games (named as a captain) and was considered one of the best players in the country. He was voted the Outland Trophy and the Chuck Bednarik Award winner as well as First Team All-America by all major publications. He finished the season with 32 tackles, 5.5 TFL and 2 sacks as he helped lead Georgia to a National Title.
Strengths
Jordan is an absolute mammoth of a man and is incredibly difficult to move. He consistently draws double teams, in which he is able to hold his ground well and doesn’t allow linemen to break off into the second level of the defense. He’s surprisingly agile for his size, there were a few plays where they thought they could leave him unblocked and run away from him. They were wrong, he had the athletic ability to chase down the play. He’s incredibly strong, strong hands, strong base. Davis uses his arm length well to hold blockers in place then shuck them to make a tackle in his hole. You simply can’t use just one guy to block the man in the run game. He’s going to throw them aside and ruin the play. He’s very unpolished as a pass rusher but I would say there’s hope that he can maybe be impactful in that aspect with development. In situations where he was effective as a rusher he was able to collapse the pocket from the middle and allow his edge rushers to eat. Between him and Nakobe Dean, they were the catalyst for one of the most dominant defenses in recent college football history. Instant difference maker in the run game, no matter where he goes. Some may look at his size and assume he should be placed as a 3-4 nose but with his agility I believe he would make the largest impact as a 4-3 1-tech DT.
Weaknesses/Room for Improvement
The biggest and probably most obvious concern or question you’ll have about Davis and guys like Davis. Is he strictly a two down player? Well, right now you have to say he undoubtedly is only a two down player. He wasn’t even a 3 down player in most situations in college at Georgia. To add, I have my questions about his conditioning, when he made a big play defensively, you’d see him be a non factor on the next play. For his size I felt he played with pretty good leverage but that’s certainly something he could improve upon. Like many with his skillset he lacks an assortment of moves he uses to disengage from blockers. He showed a quick swim move ever so often but aside from that it was a simple rip move. Something that actually really bothered me was how slow he was off the ball. He’s very often the last one to the punch off the snap. If he could find a way to improve his get off his win rate would increase drastically. He showed the ability to fight through double teams at times but I’d like to see him fight through double teams more consistently and force offenses to triple team him. He very well could never be an effective pass rusher in the NFL. However, he must be able to force double teams when he’s on the field in passing situations. Additionally, for a man his size I want to see him swat more balls down, he finished with only 1 PBU this season. How much do you value a run defender?

Round Grade
High second round. I don’t value guys who can’t rush the passer as high. If you’re in a Division like the afc north/south(Taylor and Henry) I could be talked into taking him in the first round.
